With Love we can do anything. Never listen to those that say “No” – from the visitor and volunteer wall at NGO The Fáilte Centre in Athens (‘welcome’ in Irish).

Run by the wonderful Colleen (pictured) and Claire, they are offering educational and psycho social support.

They serve a small number of people from the community (about 20 people a day), but with a huge impact for those who come to the centre which is truly a space of calm and safety. We sat on their large balcony and talked about the project. They do not believe in one size fits all, but in one to one (or very small groups) English lessons, help with exams, cv applications, making a LinkedIn profile, or mental health sessions.

All ages are welcome, from tiny ones to the elderly: there are always plenty of toys to play with, laptops to use, instruments to practice on, and arts & craft supplies at the ready.

Another fantastic pair of women standing with refugees!
