A small team of passionate people can achieve incredible things.

We’re proud to announce the publication of our Trustees’ Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 30 June 2024. This report celebrates what we’ve achieved together and the immense impact of your generosity.

Over the past year your support has enabled forRefugees to directly assist more than 50 grassroots NGOs across 8 countries, delivering life-saving aid to people forced to flee their homes. Whether it’s a hot meal, a safe place to sleep, or access to legal and medical help, your contributions have brought critical relief and moments of hope to thousands of men, women and children.

Some highlights of the year:

  • In December 2023 our Big Give Christmas Challenge raised an incredible £81,961 in one week funding 22 humanitarian projects that reached over 17,500 people.
  • In May we were honoured to be named one of PayPal Giving Fund’s Small Charities of the Month inspiring nearly 1,000 daily donors to support our mission.
  • Thanks to the continued generosity and support of a family foundation we continued to ringfence much of our core costs ensuring 95% of public donations went directly to those in need.

But challenges remain. In Greece, Bosnia, Serbia and Northern France refugees face appalling conditions. Camps have become places of containment and many live in hiding enduring police brutality and unimaginable hardship. Grassroots NGOs often provide the only lifelines - providing food, water, blankets and first aid in Europe’s darkest corners.

Together we’re bringing light to these places because every life is worth fighting for.
